Building a community of community planners.
Since the early 2000s British Columbia has held a province-wide annual Comprehensive Community Planning workshop. Each year the workshop is held in the territories of a different First Nation, who becomes the co-host of the workshop along with Indigenous Services Canada (ISC).
The workshops are typically 2.5 - 4 days long, with presentations ranging from CCP 101 to community engagement essentials, from integrating land use plans and community plans, to planning as a healing process.
