In October, First Nations from across BC will come together to share lessons learned and best practices around Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) in their communities. This 2-day workshop is intended to provide information on how to make CCP work in your communities.

CCP Coordinators, Planners, Administrators, Leadership, and Youth from BC First Nations involved in CCP come together to:

• Learn how to lead a successful CCP process
• Share planning stories and lessons learned 
• Ask questions and find support

CCP Workshop Theme - Paddling Through Change: Resurgence and Unity

The 2024 workshop theme was “Paddling Through Change: Resurgence and Unity." As First Nations grapple with the challenges posed by climate change and pandemics, planning for the future offers opportunities for (re)connecting with lands, waters, and ourselves; centring our culture and protocols; and strengthening our cultural resurgence. As we consider how planning can meet our communities’ needs amidst ongoing uncertainty, the CCP Workshop is an opportunity to come together, get grounded, and share our stories of struggle and of success – all while learning from the Haida Nation and from one another.
